The two meet in a section quarterfinal Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Eyota, where the forecast calls for 61 degrees, mostly cloudy skies and a south wind at 9 mph.
The winner advances to a section semifinal Saturday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m., hosted by the higher seed, against the winner of No. 3 seed Chatfield and No. 6 seed Rochester Lourdes.
Dover-Eyota has won four straight and scores 26 points a game while allowing 7, with three shutouts this season and just 13 points allowed over its last three. The Eagles' only loss came 21-0 to #1 Caledonia, and their best win was a 21-7 decision over #8 Rushford-Peterson.
St. Charles scores 16 points a game and allows 36, with 72 points allowed over its last three. The Saints' only win this season came over Kenyon-Wanamingo, and they've lost to three seeded teams, including a 55-0 defeat to #1 Caledonia.
The two met Sept. 4, when Dover-Eyota won 32-6. Both have also played Rushford-Peterson, with Dover-Eyota winning and St. Charles losing.
